Am chasing my muse. Back to digital art but using Krita now and have pushed Painter to the back...Krita appears to be as good if not better than painter in brushes, customization and etc. I do miss the way Painter handles papers and textures but it's doable in different ways. still learning, always learning. Enjoy!

Feels great to be drawing again. I hope I'm beginning to balance drawing and writing. Trying to do a bit of both, but honestly I'm loving the drawing more. ;)

After Four Years, Drawing Again

I got the urge to pick up the pencils again late last month after almost four years of not drawing. I stopped in the middle of a drawing (Indonesian Street Sweeper) for whatever reason -- burnout -- busy with writing poetry/flash/micro/fiction. I was a bit fearful of just picking back up in the middle so started a new drawing to try and get back up to speed - Robert Oppenheimer - "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." Finished the first pass so will post it but may make changes/adjustments still. And just yesterday put a few marks on the Sweeper Woman so hope to finish it up as well.
Feels good to be drawing again!

I've never seen such highly detailed digital paintings of birds.
I was fooled more than one time, asking me: is this a photo or a painting? And I have very good eyes for such things...
